It is always the unplanned events that seem to be the most interesting. Such is the case illustrated in these photographs taken on a trip down Pacific Coast Highway. It just so happened to be breeding season for the elephant seals just north of Morro Bay. Enjoy!
The first moment.
A slight distraction.
Money shot.
Nap time.
Far more effective than a rooster.
They weren’t too thrilled about it.
False alarm.
Life is good.
Gorgeous photos – you have just made my day!
Have you thought of trying to sell them or enter them into an animal related photo exhibition?
Thanks a lot! I’m actually quite naive to the whole process, I wouldn’t even know where to begin! Have you ever done anything like that?
Nice pictures. These creatures stink though, don’t you think?
Thanks! I’m sure they do, thankfully there was a nice breeze, and it must’ve been in the opposite direction from where I was, so it worked out even better!
They are absolutely beautiful. They remind me of cats when they sleep in the sun. Great pictures!
Thank you very much! They were very fun to watch, and the noises they made were hilarious!
