The Hidden Blue (Green Too!) in Plain View: Lake Tahoe

Tucked away in the Sierra Nevada mountain range along the border of California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe feels a million miles away, preferably in the direction you wish to be heading.  Having snowed only a few weeks prior to our arrival, in June no less, the contrast was both startling and awe-inspiring.

Water is but a reflection of snow, and vice versa.

I’d be happy with the small one on the right.

Tropical water at 6,200 feet.

This one is quite enraged by the pollen in the water.

This tree is a survivor.

Which do you prefer? Color, or Black and White?

Circa 1960.

River Ranch Inn, at night, and moving very, very slowly.

Think about this. This photo was taken with only a 30 second timer. Imagine the possibilities.

That subtle smile says it all.

Enjoy, but keep it blue,
